VCT Flooring is an excellent choice for high traffic areas due to its high resilience and durability. It is available in a wide array of patterns, colors, and finishes. This makes it one of the most popular, attractive, functional, and durable flooring options. Maintaining VCT floors is fairly easy, but over time the floor will lose its sheen and glam.
Applying wax or a finish to a floor creates a glossy and protective layer that keeps your floor attractive and free from scratches and stains. However, over time these layers wear down or become dirty, and need to be removed before a new one can be applied.
The floor will be stripped with a stripping solution using a floor scrubbing machine and Hi-Productivity pads to remove previous layers of wax, finish, and soil build-up.
The floor will be neutralized after the stripping is completed to reduce the floor pH.
A few coats of sealer will be applied onto the freshly cleaned floor to seal the pores in preparation for the wax application.
The first coat is applied to the floor and allowed to dry. Then each additional coat is applied. The number of coats is determined by the tile specifications and desired sheen.
